Web design and the internet in general can be very technical and our clients have many questions for us, both service and technical related. We enjoy answering these questions and have compiled some of these answers below.
We are glad to answer any questions you may have. If you have any questions not answered on this page feel free to contact us and we will be be happy to answer them.
"How much is a web site going to cost me anyways?"

The price for a web site varies from client to client, but you can get a pretty good estimate by completing and submitting our quote form. The price will go up or down depending on the amount and complexity of graphics used, if Flash is going to be used, if you plan to sell products and have an online store, as well as a host of other features you may opt to use or not to use. We are always ready to discuss with you all the options you have. Do not hesitate to
contact us.
"How do I go about hiring your services to design me a website?"

Simply
contact us at
contact@swtwebdesign.com or by phone at 321-474-7513. We would be happy to meet with you in person or discuss with you via phone your project. We will guide you through the process and help make sure you understand what is going on through the whole project. We do our best to make sure we never confuse you and keep you informed.
"Ok, and how long do I have to wait for my site to be completed?"

This depends on two factors. One, how complex your project is, and two, how many projects and how large those projects are, that are in front of yours. When we discuss your solutions and your project, we will give you an up-front estimate on the estimated time we expect it to take. Sometimes clients may wish to rush a job, in that case, for a price, the job can be rushed to be completed earlier.
"Ok, so I want to get a website, but how do I go about buying my domain name and getting hosting?"
We can guide you through that process, and can even do those services for you.
"How do I keep my site updated?"

After your site is completed, we offer maintenance services for $20 an hour for updates and changes.. If you chose a CMS your updates may be able to be made my you or an employee.
"How do I get a professional looking email?"

All of our web design packages include the setup of several email addresses. These email addresses are in the following format:
x@
yourdomainname.com where
x is whatever you wish, and
yourdomainname.com is whatever domain name you purchase.
"What is Hosting Space?"

Hosting space is a location on a server computer that is linked to the web. This is where all of your site files reside. Without hosting space no one can view your website. If the domain name is your site's address, the hosting space is the actual property it resides upon. We offer hosting services as well as domain registration services.
"What are Meta Tags?"

Meta tags are code inserted into your page that contains keywords and a site description for search engines. This helps your site to be found by searches.
"What is a URL?"

Uniform Resource Locator. This fancy name is simply the address you type up in the address bar of your browser to visit a website. It is a combination of what is called a protocal "http://", the domain name, and the location of the current file being viewed. Example of a URL : http://www.swtwebdesign.com/contact.html.
"What is an IP address?"

Internet Protocal is your address on the web. This is a series of four numbers seperated by periods. Example : 243.555.21.1
"What is a Domain Name?"

A domain name is the text version of your IP address on the web. For example our domain name is www.swtwebdesign.com. Once you purchase a domain name, you "own" it for a number of years.
